Palm Harbor, FL.|Ravenwood Farms | Juliana A. | High School Senior Photography Session

This beautiful young woman is Juli. She is such a warm hearted person, who is fun, outgoing, full of energy and an overall joy to be around and work with. Juli is graduating from Berkley Prepatory School this June. After graduation she plans to work at Circle F Dude Ranch in Lake Wales as a camp counselor and then off to college she will go. Juli will attend the University of North Florida to study and eventually become a veterinarian. She also plans to ride on their riding team.

When Juli came to me and discussed her love for riding and how she wanted to have her senior photo session at a horse farm. Ravenwood Farms is where she has been taking riding lessons, so naturally, that is where we went. Juli has been taking lessons since she was 6 years old, so it was very apropos to use Ravenwood Farms as the photo session location. Aside from riding, Juli is very much involved in track and cross country at her school. She plays the piano, however her interests mostly include horses, dancing and reading.

It was the perfect setting for her session. There were no riders around to make for any distractions, so when Grande came out of his stall, everything went so smoothly.

Yes, Grande is his name, but no he doesn’t drink coffee. I’m totally obsessed with this beautiful horse who was so gentle and THE BEST MODEL. He was so engaged. Look how cute his ears are. They were up for the entire session.

Oh my word, do you see that picture of the horse smiling? He was eating some grass and I captured it right when he was chewing. I’ll take it!

We ended the session with a few individual photos as the sun was setting and the lighting was just perfect!

Juli took me back to the old Levi commercials when she changed into a more relaxed outfit. I just loved the natural look. She nailed it!

It is always so much fun when I work with seniors. We get to plan out the session exactly how they want it. After all, it is a reflection of them and who they are right now. Whatever you are into at this important time in your life, let it be showcased in a fun session just like Juli did. Don’t settle for that traditional tux and drape with pearls photo that looks exactly the same for every persons yearbook photo. Let your Senior portraits tell YOUR story! Juli paired her session with customized senior announcement cards. It’s a one stop shop when you have your senior portrait with KGP!

If you aren’t on my email newsletter, you may not know my Senior mini session offering. You can access all that information by clicking here.

This campaign offering for Seniors (High School and College Graduates) will expire in June. So hurry up and contact me so we can customize your session (or your seniors if you are a parent of one) and you can get this outstanding deal packed with prints and so much more.

I am excited to hear from you and plan your session.

Downtown Tampa |Senior Photography Session | Hailee Rose| Nature Coast High School Graduate

Tampa Senior Photographer

Welcome back to my bloggy blog world!  This beautiful girl is Hailee.  A graduate from Nature Coast Technical School. As you can see from the balloons she is holding, we are celebrating her and how she is no longer a high-schooler!  Way to go, girl! Class of 2018. While attending Nature Coast, Hailee was a NCT Shark cheerleader for ALL FOUR YEARS.  She spent her free time working and spending quality time with family and friends.   These balloons gave us a headache.  There was a little bit of wind and of course the balloons took the brunt of it.  After several takes, we finally got that “wow” image.

In the fall, Hailee will be an official college student attending a state college, PHSC. While attending school there, she will be majoring in Emergency Services.

I loved the outfits that Hailee brought to the shoot. For example, that adorable blue dress that looked so great with and without her cap and gown. But check out this simple and casual look that complimented her so well.

The cute flowing pants paired so nicely with this off the shoulder top.  It added just the right amount of sophistication and playfulness that exemplifies her personality.

To say we had fun at this session was an understatement.  While I always have a fun time with all my clients when shooting, this one made my cheeks hurt.  Hailee has such a fun personality and is such a joy to be around. It is so important to have a great time during a shoot like this, or any session for that matter.  But when it is a one on one, just relax and be you!  That is exactly what she did.  She came with some poses in mind, and we used them as a starting point and expanded from them.

With the package that she chose, it entitled her to a couple different locations. Her first location had to be dog friendly so she can bring along her 6 month old pup Chloe.  GAAAAHHHH, how precious are these two!! I’m such a dog lover, so when anyone wants to bring their fur-babies, I’M TOTALLY GAME!

I’m a sucker for black and white photos, but let me also show you some color!

When I asked Jenny, Hailee’s mom if she could change one thing about the session, she said, ” I wish I didn’t procrastinate so long in getting them done.”  This is so important for anyone who is interested in getting Senior Sessions done.  Especially when using the package Jenny chose for the extra locations for Hailee.  We had 2 separate days that we had to book.

I asked Hailee if she had any tips for other girls getting their hair and make up done for their sessions. She replied with…natural!  I totally agree with that.  It also helps that your mom is a hair stylist.  So Jenny was able to get that girl just perfect and natural looking.  Head on over to Southern Dreams Salon to check out all the amazing things they offer there.  It is an adorable shop with so much more than hair.

I wanted to give Jenny the opportunity to write something to her daughter.

I am beyond proud of you Hailee Rose and all of your accomplishments this far. You have overcome so many obstacles and diversions and somehow remained true to yourself! You are an amazing, beautiful, young lady with an incredibly strong will.  You are the wildest soul I know and have the ability to make anyone laugh. Your smile is contagious and I am so blessed to be your mom.  It is amazing to see how you’ve grown so far and I look forward to watching and cheering you on as you achieve your goals and chase your dreams everyday.     Love, Mom

Here is proud mom, Jenny and her graduate, Hailee.

Best of luck to Hailee. I know you’ll be very successful. Keep dreaming the dream, sticking to your goals, and you’ll do the impossible. I just know it!

Spring Hill, FL. | High School Senior Photo Session |Mikaela | Graduate of Central High School

Say hello to Mikaela, a 2017 graduate from Central High School.  When her mother, Christine, first contacted me about a session, she wrote that she wanted me to photograph her daughters senior portraits.  I love when I get emails like this!  No questions about the business, prices, locations, nothing!  Just, I need to book my daughters pictures with YOU!   They knew they wanted me and my artistic style and I was pumped from that first email for this session.

When our session began, I had learned so much in the first 10 minutes.  Mikaela would be graduating top 4 in her class.  She will be attending UCF to study, and is very interested in medicine. She has a passion to work with children and babies.

Mikaela has had Andre who is her boyfriend for more than two years in her life.  Along with Andre, who is  a great support system, her parents and family play a major role in her success.  There is a lovely bond between Mikaela and her mother, Christine.  A bond that every mom would want for her and her daughter.

Mikaela had told me in our pre-session consult that she had a love for books.  She has always loved to read so I thought we should showcase that in her photos.  I just loved the way we incorporated these books into our session.

It was great working with you, Mikaela.  You are blessed with a very loving and supportive family.  The relationship you and your mom have is very special.  Cherish that!  During our session, she had such pride on her face.  You have made her and your father exceptionally proud.  There are no limits, girl!  Keep reaching for those stars.  I wish you so much success after graduation.

I’ve included in this post some favorites from her portrait session below.  Sip your coffee, tea, or wine and enjoy!
