A great adventure is about to begin. – Winnie the Pooh
Welcome back, my friends. Today’s feature is Justin, Lindsay and their growing baby boy, Luke Daniel, inside that adorable baby bump. Lindsay is due in May and we had such a lovely session a few weeks ago documenting this special time in their life. I was so honored they chose me for this important time once I got to know them a bit more during the session and they shared their story with me.
Just and Lindsay decided on the Crews Lake Park location to showcase their love of the outdoors and mountains. Unfortunately I couldn’t provide mountains in their session, but the park made them think of their yearly Tennessee trip.
During their pregnancy Justin has been so very helpful with all the housework an getting the nursery ready for Luke. Lindsay has been truly enjoying her naps whenever she want, but when Luke arrives, that won’t be happening as much. Lindsay hasn’t had any strange cravings other than the desire of sugar all day every day.
Lindsay had no complaints at all about her ultrasound. She has been feeling great and besides the belly, you would even know she was pregnant. Thank you Justin, Lindsay & Luke. It was a pleasure to meet and get to know you. God has truly blessed you and you two are going to be amazing parents.
This beautiful young woman is Juli. She is such a warm hearted person, who is fun, outgoing, full of energy and an overall joy to be around and work with. Juli is graduating from Berkley Prepatory School this June. After graduation she plans to work at Circle F Dude Ranch in Lake Wales as a camp counselor and then off to college she will go. Juli will attend the University of North Florida to study and eventually become a veterinarian. She also plans to ride on their riding team.
When Juli came to me and discussed her love for riding and how she wanted to have her senior photo session at a horse farm. Ravenwood Farms is where she has been taking riding lessons, so naturally, that is where we went. Juli has been taking lessons since she was 6 years old, so it was very apropos to use Ravenwood Farms as the photo session location. Aside from riding, Juli is very much involved in track and cross country at her school. She plays the piano, however her interests mostly include horses, dancing and reading.
It was the perfect setting for her session. There were no riders around to make for any distractions, so when Grande came out of his stall, everything went so smoothly.
Yes, Grande is his name, but no he doesn’t drink coffee. I’m totally obsessed with this beautiful horse who was so gentle and THE BEST MODEL. He was so engaged. Look how cute his ears are. They were up for the entire session.
Oh my word, do you see that picture of the horse smiling? He was eating some grass and I captured it right when he was chewing. I’ll take it!
We ended the session with a few individual photos as the sun was setting and the lighting was just perfect!
Juli took me back to the old Levi commercials when she changed into a more relaxed outfit. I just loved the natural look. She nailed it!
It is always so much fun when I work with seniors. We get to plan out the session exactly how they want it. After all, it is a reflection of them and who they are right now. Whatever you are into at this important time in your life, let it be showcased in a fun session just like Juli did. Don’t settle for that traditional tux and drape with pearls photo that looks exactly the same for every persons yearbook photo. Let your Senior portraits tell YOUR story! Juli paired her session with customized senior announcement cards. It’s a one stop shop when you have your senior portrait with KGP!
If you aren’t on my email newsletter, you may not know my Senior mini session offering. You can access all that information by clicking here.
This campaign offering for Seniors (High School and College Graduates) will expire in June. So hurry up and contact me so we can customize your session (or your seniors if you are a parent of one) and you can get this outstanding deal packed with prints and so much more.
I am excited to hear from you and plan your session.
Meet the Konz family, y’all. Traveling from Lancaster Kentucky to visit family in Brooksville Florida. Casey and her husband decided they wanted some family photos taken on a beach. When I got the call and heard Casey’s adorable southern accent, I just had to nail the consultation! I knew she and her family would be so much fun to hang with and capture memories. And that we did, my friends.
We met up at Pine Island where the beach, to our surprise, was PACKED! I’m talking there was people everywhere! I was so up for the challenge. TGFPS! That is my acronym for “THANK GOODNESS FOR PHOTOSHOP”. Seriously, it was nuts! Babies, buckets, bikinis and swim trunks were EVERYWHERE!!!
Before I showcase this adorable family, let’s dive in to their lives and learn a bit about the Konz family.
Alex, aka Dad, is a lineman that spends his days constructing power lines and responding to disasters as needed. A very hardworking man per Casey, and it sure sounds like it to me when describing her husband.
Casey, aka Mom, is a respiratory therapist who spends her days helping those lucky Kentucky patients breath better. She currently manages 80 ventilators!
Braxon, their rainbow baby who always is smiling, loves everything to do with water and people. So appropriate to have his smash cake on the beach, right?!
I mean seriously! How can this kid gets any cuter? I wish I looked that adorable after stuffing my face with cake!
Braxon loves bath time, food, riding the rzr around the yard with this mom and dad. He loves to play outside and enjoys anyones company.
When I asked Casey what her favorite part of the session was, she replied with Braxon eating his cake. I couldn’t agree more! I mean look how much fun that was. And so many people besides us enjoyed watching him eat as well. He had an entire audience! Families just stopped to smile and watch him.
Thank you so incredibly much Casey and Alex for having me be the photographer of choice for your photography needs while visiting Florida. I’m so excited for your next visit! My readers will be waiting for the update on Braxon.
For International Women’s Day I am so excited to showcase this gorgeous woman Debra. CONFIDENT, BLESSED AND HUBLE, are the 3 words that Debra described herself as. Debra recently graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor’s in nursing. She along with here daughter and husband, celebrated Debra’s achievements and documented them through this fun photo session. I also heard there was a surprise party for her after the session!!
Before her session Debra and daughter, Erika, had their makeup done by the very talented Francesca Brown Mua. Go check her out!
The amazing cap and bow were both designed and crafted by her talented daughter, Erika.
Debra plans to take a short break and then resume with school by obtaining her master’s degree in nursing. She eventually plans to semi-retire and become an online instructor. I am so proud of you, Debra. You have done a wonderful job and have beaten any odds! Now let’s check out Debra in all her beauty!
I recently had an outstanding session with this family. I was told when Jackie scheduled with me that it had been 10 years since they were all together for a family session. Now since the sisters are in different points of their lives, it was a great time to get everyone together for a session for their mother. Thank you Jodi, Tara, and Jackie for realizing how important it is to document your family. I think I can say for your mother, she is so happy to have these loving moments documented.
Aside from it raining, yes another shoot with rain (insert eye roll), it was such a pleasure to finally meet everyone in this lovely family for their group session. Since this is a group, I am going to call this post and family “La Famiglia”.
Yes you guessed correctly….they are Italian. This family enjoys their Sunday dinners, the beach, and pool when they all get together. Having a good time or as they say in Italian, diversititi, is what this family is all about.
We met at Chinsegut Hill, which by they ways seems to be a very popular place for my clients lately. I do love this location, and for so many reasons, but lets dive into some info about the famiglia and showcase some photos from their session.
So we have Marie and Herb. Marie is “The Matriarch”. Loves everyone here unconditionally and is an outstanding mother, from what I hear from her daughters.
Herb is a retired New York City Detective.
Jodi, the oldest sister and the craziest….not my words Jodi, talk to your sisters. 😉
Jeremy, Jodi’s husband who has a love for tattoos and cooking.
Tara, the middle sister and most loving, yet is referred to as “Wreck it Ralph”, again…. talk to your sisters. 😉
Jackie, the little sister who is the most sarcastic….but no nickname here. (I’m gonna have to dig a bit deeper and find that out)!
Christie, Jackie’s wife. She also enjoys cooking and is the most adventurous of the group.
Berlyn, (awesome name, right?) Is the oldest of the cousins. She has earned herself a nickname…”Wreck it Ralph #2”.
Bailey, the sweetest soul they all know.
And last, but definitely not least, Chelsea. She is that adorable baby you see. Already a spitfire and with so much love for her parents Christie and Jackie.
After all these nicknames, I’m kinda jealous and think I would like one 🙂
It truly was an amazingly fun photo shoot. And if any of you are considering a family session or are prepping for an upcoming session, heed the words of Jackie :
“We enjoyed every minute of our session. Everything from the communication to the shoot was above my expectations. You are in amazing hands.” Solid words and advice! Thank you Jackie!
Please enjoy a few more images from this fun session.
I can’t even begin to tell you how I felt when I photographed this ray of sunshine, Jameson. And thank goodness for his light because it was raining during this entire session. Yup…RAINING, dark and dreary! So props to Danny ( Jameson’s Dad) who held the umbrella over my head and camera to capture these fun images. When it comes to photography, just the word “rain” brings such panic to me, but I must say this session is one to surely remember!
So a little history on Jameson. Introduced to his parents over 4 years ago when I first met them for their maternity session. I immediately clicked with them and before I knew it, I had a call to photograph baby Jameson at his newborn session. While Jameson was so much fun to photograph, I was still finding my niche in photography and shortly realized that newborn photoshoots wasn’t for me.
I won’t ever forget the day I walked into his nursery. All decked out in Disney. It was so tastefully done too. I was totally digging all the small details of all the current Pixar movies and that storm trooper! It was my size! Well, I guess that isn’t saying much considering I am under 5 feet tall, but seriously, it greeted me at the door!
In any event, I must have said at some point during that newborn session that we should totally use this picture when we take his 3 year photos. And apparently, after all these years, Kalyn remembered me saying that. Here is the frame I was talking about that was hanging on the wall in his nursery.
Such a serious face, Jameson. I think he was going for the 3 and I’m sophisticated look. Well, thank you again Kalyn and Danny for having me hang out with you and this dapper 3 year old.
Everyone please enjoy a few more images from this session as well as some from his 1 and 2 year old session to reminisce. You can find them linked here and here.
It was my very first time photographing the Neal family and I am so happy I got this referral from yet another great client. Let me introduce to you, Eric, Danielle, & the adorable princess, Kylie. If you haven’t figured it out yet, Kylie just turned 3 and her parents are so excited to celebrate this birthday with her.
The Neal family enjoys visiting Disney and riding bikes together. The family consists of Eric, the loving father and husband. Danielle, a very caring and fun mother and wife. And the sweetest cutie pie, Kylie, who is very smart, beautiful and three years old now!
I really enjoy photographing milestones like this. It is such a great way to have fun and relax with my clients and just let them enjoy each other as I capture it all!
Take a look at these adorable photos of Kylie and us celebrating her 3rd birthday!
Thank you Neal family for sharing a little piece of your heaven with me. I really enjoyed my time with you! See you soon!!
Another year of the Sirvent family photos. I think this makes year three. What joy this family gives me each year when I see all these beautiful girls. Melissa and Johnny are so blessed and I am the lucky one who gets to capture memories for them as they all grow.
Starting with Johnny, a.k.a. Dad, the very hard worker so all of his girls are taken care of. Then we have Melissa, a.k.a Mom, the stay at home mother with her hands very full, clearly!
Emma, the oldest, likes to play softball and enjoys reading.
Haley enjoys soccer and playing Roblox.
Abby is just getting into softball and has the kindest heart.
Madison, always being silly and very happy little girl.
And then there is little Gracie. She is learning how to walk and enjoys her baths and LOVES her food.
When I asked Melissa what she enjoyed about getting her photos taken, she replied” I really enjoy being together as a family while moments are being captured forever.” Any words of wisdom for other families preparing for a session I asked. She said “Relax and smile. Kim will do all the rest!” Thank you, Melissa!
Okay ya’ll, please enjoy a few more photos from the session. Hope to see YOU soon for a family session.
These two were so easy going and IN LOVE! Couples are so much fun to photograph. Throw in a couple who is getting married, I’m beaming from ear to ear.
Since 2014 these two have been sharing each other’s company. Often seeing each other on the soccer field in middle school, then again after high school at soccer tournaments in Clearwater, Billy finally worked up the courage to ask Amie out. With a common interest of soccer (if you haven’t noticed by those legs above) it was so apropo for Billy to propose to Amie on the soccer field. Amie described the proposal below: Continue reading “Engagement Photo Session | Soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Boyko”→
